Teen Busted In Springfield, Charged With Killing Vermont Mom Of 2: Police

Springfield police have arrested a 15-year-old boy in connection with the shooting death of a 38-year-old woman in her car in Vermont last month.

The teen is charged with second-degree murder in the fatal shooting of Christina Chatlos in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, on Jan. 23, Springfield police said. The accused shooter's identity was not released because of his age. 

Chatlos was sitting in her car when she was shot in the torso, which proved fatal. 

The 15-year-old arrested in Springfield was arrested on Monday, Feb. 26, just before noon in the  700 block of Worthington Street.

He faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted, the Caledonian Record said

Christina Chatlos, of Williamstown, Vermont, leaves behind a son and daughter, her obituary said. She was a lifelong and accomplished equestrian.
